Technical Designs
Community design is a way of implementing the Mauri Tu of the design process and reflect the kotahitanga of the landscape and its people.
By creating these sapces, the landscape not ony benefits from a community perspective, but it also creates relationships and a network of purpose for the design itself.
It aims to grow and further extend its networks.
This design focused on the community and the ecology of the landscape. I aimed to show community by various connection points into the area, represented by the main boardwalk through the site. The materials used is sourced locally with aspects of the historic references on-site. These built implementations will have a deeper meaning behind the design, telling the stories of the landscape and looking after the natural environment.
